Chesalles-sur-Moudon was once a small town, also known as a municipality, in Switzerland. It was located in the canton of Vaud, within the Broye-Vully area.
In 2017, Chesalles-sur-Moudon joined with several other nearby towns. These included Brenles, Cremin, Forel-sur-Lucens, and Sarzens. All these towns became part of the larger municipality of Lucens. This means Chesalles-sur-Moudon is no longer a separate town.

History of Chesalles-sur-Moudon
Chesalles-sur-Moudon is quite old! It was first written about in official records way back in 1273. At that time, its name was spelled Chesales.
Geography and Land Use
Chesalles-sur-Moudon covered an area of about 1.67 square kilometers (0.64 square miles). Most of this land was used for farming. About 77.8% of the area was farmland.
Forests covered about 11.4% of the land. The remaining 10.2% was developed with buildings and roads. This shows that Chesalles-sur-Moudon was mainly a rural area.
The town was part of the Moudon District until 2006. After that, it became part of the newer Broye-Vully District.
