Curtilles is a small town, also called a municipality, located in the Broye-Vully area. It is part of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland.

History of Curtilles
Curtilles has a long history. It was first mentioned in old writings between the years 852 and 875. Back then, it was known by the name Curtilia.
Geography of Curtilles
Curtilles covers an area of about 4.95 square kilometers (about 1.9 square miles). A large part of this land, about 78%, is used for farming. Forests cover about 15.6% of the area.
About 6.3% of Curtilles is built up with buildings and roads. A small amount, 0.6%, is made up of rivers or lakes. The rest, about 0.2%, is land that cannot be used for farming or building.
Curtilles used to be part of the Moudon District. However, in 2006, it became part of the new Broye-Vully district. The municipality includes the main village of Curtilles and several smaller settlements called hamlets.
