Gen Neo (born Liang Genrong on June 18, 1989) is a talented singer, songwriter, and music producer from Singapore. He is based in South Korea and works with BAMM Entertainment. Gen Neo is known for creating music for many famous artists and also for his own songs.

Early Life and Education
Gen Neo was born in Singapore on June 18, 1989. He went to Catholic High School and Victoria Junior College. Later, he moved to South Korea to follow his dream of becoming a music producer and composer. He studied at Berklee College of Music. There, he met Henry Lau, who became a close friend and frequent music partner.
Music Career Highlights
Gen Neo started his music journey in South Korea as part of a production team called NoizeBank. This team included Canadian musician Henry Lau, along with producers Isaac Han and Neil Nallas. Together, they wrote and produced songs for popular groups like Got7, Super Junior-M, Henry Lau, and f(x).
In 2015, Gen Neo also began his own singing career in Korea. He released his first song, "Think About Us," with Mapps Entertainment. Soon after, he decided to create his own independent music company, BAMM. In December 2016, he released his first Mandopop song, "Stop Sugar." This song became very popular, reaching number 12 on the iTunes Mandopop Charts. It was even charted alongside songs by famous artists like JJ Lin and Jay Chou.
Gen Neo also worked with Amber Liu from the group f(x). He was featured on her song "On My Own." Both Korean and English versions of the song were released in May 2016. The song did very well, reaching number 11 on the Billboard World Digital Song charts.
In 2017, Gen Neo released his first mini-album, called Dimensions. It featured four songs. He continued to release new music, including the single "Come With Me" in 2017. He also collaborated with Fei, a former member of Miss A, on the song "Will You Won't You." In 2018, he released "从今以后" and was featured on Amber Liu's "Right Now." His single "Over You" came out on December 31, 2019.
Musical Influences
Gen Neo has shared that his music is inspired by 90s R&B music. He also looks up to more recent artists like the Canadian hip hop artist, Drake. For Mandopop, he has been influenced by artists such as Jay Chou, Wang Leehom, David Tao, and Khalil Fong.
