Hazaristan or Hazarajat (Dari Persian: هزارستان) is a big mountainous area in the central highlands of Afghanistan which is the main and the historical land of the Hazara people. Hazaristan areas including provinces such as Bamyan, Daykundi, Ghor, Ghazni, Urozgan, Maidan Wardak, Parwan, Samangan, Sar-e Pol, Baghlan, Balkh, Badghis, Herat and some other areas mostly in central Afghanistan.
