Hazaristan or Hazarajat is a large, mountainous region. It is located in the central highlands of Afghanistan. This area is the historic homeland of the Hazara people.
The name "Hazaristan" comes from the Hazara people. They are one of the main groups living in Afghanistan. This region is known for its beautiful, rugged mountains.
Many provinces are part of Hazaristan. These include Bamyan, Daykundi, and Ghor. Other provinces like Ghazni and Urozgan are also included. The region also covers parts of Maidan Wardak, Parwan, and Samangan. You can also find parts of Sar-e Pol, Baghlan, Balkh, Badghis, and Herat here. These areas are mostly in central Afghanistan.
