Short animated parts in the show explain historical facts. They also clear up common misunderstandings about the past.

Historical Fun Facts and Mistakes

Even fun history shows can have a few small errors! Here are some interesting points about historical details in the show:

  • "Rotten Romans" – The Flavian Amphitheatre, also known as the Colosseum, was not built by Julius Caesar. It was actually built by Emperor Vespasian much later.
  • "Revolting Revolution" – In the UK version of this episode, the narrator mistakenly says that George Washington died in 1793. However, the original American version correctly states that he died in 1799.
  • "Amazing Aussies" – Sheep are not originally from Australia. Europeans brought them over when they settled there.
