Jalen Oluwaseun Isaiah Milroe (born December 13, 2002) is an American professional football quarterback. He plays for the Seattle Seahawks in the National Football League (NFL). Before joining the NFL, he played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. In 2024, Jalen Milroe won the William V. Campbell Trophy, which is a major award for college football players. The Seattle Seahawks chose him in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft.

Early Life and High School Football
Jalen Milroe grew up in a military family. His father, Quentin, served in the Marine Corps. His mother, Lola, worked in the medical field for the Navy. When Jalen was three years old, his family moved to Katy, Texas. He went to Tompkins High School in Katy.
High School Achievements
During his junior year, Jalen showed great skill. He threw for 2,689 yards and 29 touchdowns. He also ran for 378 yards and scored eight rushing touchdowns. In his senior year (2020), he passed for 1,136 yards and 13 touchdowns. Overall, in high school, Milroe had 3,825 passing yards and 559 rushing yards. He scored a total of 53 touchdowns. He helped Tompkins High School win more than 30 games in three seasons. Jalen first planned to play for Texas, but he later decided to go to the University of Alabama.
College Football Career
Jalen Milroe played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide. He had an exciting career there, showing his talent as a quarterback.
2021 College Season
In the 2021 season, Jalen was the backup quarterback. He played behind Bryce Young, who was a sophomore. Because he played in only four games, he was "redshirted." This means he could play another year of college football later. During this season, he completed three passes for 41 yards and one touchdown. He also ran for 57 yards.
2022 College Season
Jalen started the 2022 season as the backup to Bryce Young again. In a practice game, he completed 11 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown. He played briefly in a few games. In week four, he took over as quarterback against Arkansas. This happened after Bryce Young got injured. Milroe threw for one touchdown and ran for another. He led Alabama to a 49–26 win. The next week, he made his first start against Texas A&M. He threw for three touchdowns in a close 24–20 victory.
2023 College Season

For the 2023 season, Jalen competed to be the starting quarterback. He won the job. In the first game against Middle Tennessee, he scored five touchdowns. Three were passing touchdowns and two were rushing. Alabama won 56–7. The next week, Alabama lost to Texas. Jalen was briefly replaced as the starter.
However, he soon became the starting quarterback again. Against LSU, he ran for a career-high 155 yards and four touchdowns. He also threw for 219 yards in a 42–28 win. The following week, he scored six total touchdowns against Kentucky. In the famous Iron Bowl game against Auburn, Jalen threw the game-winning touchdown pass. This happened with only 31 seconds left in the game. He finished that game with 254 passing yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 107 yards.
Jalen led Alabama to a 12–1 record in the 2023 regular season. They also won the SEC Championship. In that game, he threw for two touchdowns and 192 yards. He was named the game's Most Valuable Player (MVP). Alabama beat Georgia 27–24. He finished the year with 23 passing touchdowns and 12 rushing touchdowns. He also placed sixth in the Heisman Trophy voting. Alabama played against Michigan in the 2024 Rose Bowl. Michigan won that game in overtime.
2024 College Season
In the first game of the 2024 season, Jalen scored five touchdowns. Three were passing and two were rushing. Alabama won 63–0 against Western Kentucky. Against Georgia, he threw for 374 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for 117 yards and two more touchdowns. Alabama won 41–34. Against LSU, he ran for a career-high 185 yards and four touchdowns. Alabama won 42–13. At the end of the season, he received the William V. Campbell Trophy. This award recognizes a player's academic success, football performance, and leadership. In the 2024 ReliaQuest Bowl, Alabama lost to Michigan. Jalen finished the 2024 season with 2,844 passing yards and 726 rushing yards. He scored 35 total touchdowns.

In February 2025, reports said Milroe's hand span grew from 8¾ inches to 9⅜ inches.
The Seattle Seahawks drafted Jalen Milroe as the 92nd overall pick. This was in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft. The Seahawks had gotten this pick by trading their previous quarterback, Geno Smith, to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Jalen Milroe is a Christian. He was baptized in 2022.
In 2023, Jalen and another Alabama athlete, Terrion Arnold, started a merchandise line. It is called LANK, which stands for "Let All Naysayers Know." This merchandise has been sold in Alabama stores. It has also been given to former Alabama players in the NFL, like Jalen Hurts.
