About Joe Atlan's Life
Joe Atlan first played a keyboard when he was just 5 years old. But he didn't really get into music again until he was 16. That's when he discovered the Italian power metal band Rhapsody.
He has often said that he found "true Art" through the books of J. R. R. Tolkien. Then, he found "art in Music" for the first time with Rhapsody. From that moment on, he started to play and compose music on the piano.
University and Film Music
In 2007, Joe Atlan went to the University of Navarra in Pamplona. He studied Audiovisual Communication there. People often saw him playing music at charity concerts and school events.
During his studies, he became very interested in film music. Even though his degree was mostly about making movies and TV shows, he decided in his second year to dedicate his life to music. Joe Atlan has composed music for many short films and documentaries. He also created original music for a Spanish TV series.
Playing with Timo Tolkki
In November 2009, Joe Atlan was asked to play with the famous guitarist Timo Tolkki. Tolkki was a founding member of the band Stratovarius. Joe joined Tolkki on his "Guitar Beyond Infinity Seminar Tour" in 2009–2010.

On February 10, 2010, Joe helped create the world's biggest Lipdub at that time. A lipdub is a video where people lip-sync to a song. This one had almost 400 people in a single, long shot.
