For her second album, Kacey was inspired by albums from artists like Glen Campbell, Bobbie Gentry, Marty Robbins, and Loretta Lynn. She also mentioned non-country artists who influenced her. These include Cher, Selena, Neil Young, Bee Gees, and Electric Light Orchestra.
