Kristin Landen Davis (born February 23, 1965) is an American actress and producer. She is well-known for her acting roles in TV shows and movies. Kristin was nominated for important awards like the Emmys and Golden Globes in 2004.
Kristin Davis became famous in 1995. She played the character Brooke Armstrong in the TV show Melrose Place. She has also been in many popular films. These include The Shaggy Dog (2006) and Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012). Kristin has also performed on stage. She made her Broadway debut in 2012 in the play The Best Man.

Early Life and Education
Kristin Davis was born in Boulder, Colorado. She is an only child. Her parents divorced when she was a baby. Later, her mother married Keith Davis in 1968. He adopted Kristin. She also has three half-sisters from her father's first marriage.
When Kristin was young, her family moved to Columbia, South Carolina. Her father worked at the University of South Carolina. Kristin knew she wanted to be an actress from a young age. She was only 9 years old when she acted in a play called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Kristin lived in South Carolina until she finished high school in 1983. Then, she moved to New Jersey. She went to Rutgers University. In 1987, she earned a degree in acting from Rutgers University's Mason Gross School of the Arts.

After college in 1987, Kristin Davis moved to New York. She worked as a waitress and even opened a yoga studio. In 1991, she started acting in TV shows. She appeared in a few episodes of the soap opera General Hospital. She also had guest roles in shows like Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and ER.
Her big break came in 1995. She got the role of Brooke Armstrong Campbell in the TV show Melrose Place. She left the show after one year. Later, she appeared in two episodes of Seinfeld.

Philanthropic Work and Recognition

Kristin Davis is a Global Ambassador for Oxfam. This means she helps support their work around the world. She has traveled to places like Haiti and South Africa for Oxfam since 2004. In 2011, she spoke about the difficult situation at the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya.
Kristin loves elephants. In 2009, during a trip to Africa, she found an abandoned baby elephant. She helped arrange for it to go to a wildlife center. For her efforts to help orphaned African elephants, she won the Humane Society's Wyler Award in 2010. She also supports the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, which protects elephants in Kenya.

Kristin Davis has two children. In 2011, she adopted her daughter, Gemma Rose Davis. In 2018, she adopted her son, Wilson. Her family lives in Brentwood, Los Angeles, California.
