Lüterswil-Gächliwil was a small town, or municipality, in the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland. It was located in the Bucheggberg district. This municipality was created in 1994 when two smaller towns, Lüterswil and Gächliwil, joined together. However, on January 1, 2024, Lüterswil-Gächliwil became part of a larger municipality called Buchegg.

History of Lüterswil-Gächliwil
The town of Lüterswil was first mentioned in old documents around the year 1276. Gächliwil is also very old, first appearing in records in 1365. These mentions show that people have lived in this area for a very long time.
Exploring the Geography
Lüterswil-Gächliwil covered an area of about 3.05 square kilometers (which is about 1.18 square miles). A big part of this land, about 62.3%, was used for farming. This means there were many fields for crops and pastures for animals.
Forests covered about 32.5% of the area, providing green spaces and homes for wildlife. The remaining small part, about 6.2%, was where buildings and roads were located. This shows that Lüterswil-Gächliwil was mostly a rural area with lots of nature.
