List of castros in Galicia facts for kids
A castro is an old fortified village or settlement. These villages were built by people who lived in the Iberian Peninsula (where Spain and Portugal are today) thousands of years ago, especially during the Iron Age. They are often found on hills or high places, making them easy to defend.
This list shows many castros found in Galicia (Spain), a region in northwest Spain. They are grouped by province.
