Little Golden Books is a very popular series of children's books that started way back in 1942. One of the most famous books in the series is The Poky Little Puppy. It's actually the best-selling children's book of all time! Many other books from this series have also become super popular, like Tootle, Scuffy the Tugboat, and The Little Red Hen.
These books are easy to spot because they have a special look. Even a book printed today looks very similar to one from 1942. By 1992, over one and a half billion Little Golden Books had been sold! That's a huge number of books.

Golden Books in Art
In 2010, an artist named Ryan Jude Novelline created something amazing called the "Golden Book Gown." This special dress was made almost entirely from Golden Books! It had a huge skirt made from 22,000 square inches of book pages. The top part of the dress was made from the spines of the books. It was a true fairytale-inspired creation!
