The local church is called St Mary the Virgin. It is on Wright's Green Lane. This church is very old, built in the 12th century! It is a Grade II* listed building. This means it is a very important historical building that is protected. The church has walls made of flint, tiles, and old Roman bricks. It also has a bell tower from the 1800s.
Right next to the church is the Church of England primary school. It is also on Wright's Green Lane. The village hall is another important building. It is on Lower Street in Wright's Green.

Little Hallingbury Mill is a special building west of Gaston Green. It used to be a watermill, which is a mill powered by water. The current building was built in 1874. Today, it is a small hotel and restaurant. Even though it's not used for milling anymore, the old mill machinery still works!

Just next door, in Hatfield Broad Oak, is Hatfield Forest. This forest was once a Royal Hunting Forest for kings! Today, it is open for everyone to enjoy. It covers a huge area of woodland, grassy fields with trees, a lake, and marshy areas.
Inside Hatfield Forest, you can find a place called Portingbury Hills. Experts think this might have been an old settlement or farm from the Iron Age. The main part of the mound is about 100 feet by 70 feet. It is surrounded by a ditch that is 25 to 35 feet wide.
