Loïc Nottet (born on April 10, 1996) is a talented Belgian singer, songwriter, and dancer. He first became known in 2014 when he competed on The Voice Belgique. He later represented Belgium in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with his song "Rhythm Inside", where he finished in fourth place.

After Eurovision, Loïc released "Million Eyes". This song was the first from his debut album, Selfocracy. The album became very popular in Belgium, reaching the top of the music charts. It also did well in France and Switzerland. His second album, Sillygomania, came out in May 2020.

Music Journey

Starting with The Voice Belgique

Loïc Nottet started his journey on The Voice Belgique in 2014. He made it all the way to the final, finishing in second place. He was part of singer B.J. Scott's team. Loïc has said that artists like Imagine Dragons, Lana Del Rey, Sia, and Dua Lipa have inspired his music.

Eurovision Song Contest 2015

On November 3, 2014, it was announced that Loïc Nottet would represent Belgium at the Eurovision Song Contest 2015. This big music competition was held in Vienna, Austria. His song, "Rhythm Inside", was released on March 10, 2015. Loïc helped write the song with his voice coach.

The song quickly became a number one hit in Belgium. Loïc performed in the first semi-final of Eurovision and did very well, coming in second place. In the Grand Final, "Rhythm Inside" earned 217 points. This placed Belgium in fourth position overall. It was the first time Belgium had been in the top five since 2003! Three countries gave Loïc the highest score of 12 points: Netherlands, France, and Hungary. The song sold over 30,000 copies in Belgium, earning it a Platinum award.

After Eurovision, "Rhythm Inside" became a top ten hit in Austria, Lithuania, and Russia. It also charted in many other countries, including Australia, the UK, France, and Switzerland.

Dancing to Victory

Loïc Nottet also showed off his dancing skills! On October 24, 2015, he joined the French TV show Danse avec les stars, which is like Dancing with the Stars. He competed in the sixth season and won the competition!

First Album: Selfocracy

Loïc's single "Million Eyes" came out on October 27, 2016. This song was the first taste of his debut album. The music video for "Million Eyes" was filmed earlier that month. Loïc shared that his album would have a special theme with different characters and several music videos. The song was very popular, reaching number two in Belgium and France. It was certified Gold in both countries.

On March 1, 2017, Loïc announced his first album would be called Selfocracy. It was released on March 31 and quickly became the number one album in Wallonia, Belgium. It also reached number three in Flanders, Belgium, number eight in France, and number twenty in Switzerland.

In April 2017, Loïc performed his first concerts for Selfocracy in Brussels. Both shows were completely sold out! Later that year, on November 12, 2017, Loïc won the Best Belgian Act award at the 2017 MTV Europe Music Awards. Throughout 2017 and into 2018, Loïc toured to support Selfocracy, performing in Belgium, the UK, France, and Germany.

New Music: Candy and Sillygomania

In October 2019, Loïc Nottet announced a special Halloween-themed music project called Candy. This extended play (EP) was released on October 31. On the same day, a short musical film with the same name premiered on YouTube.

Loïc's second full studio album, Sillygomania, was released on May 29, 2020. More recently, on November 9, 2022, he released a new song called "Mélodrame" on all streaming platforms.
