Londonderry is a town located in Windham County, Vermont, in the United States. It is surrounded by other towns like Landgrove, Weston, Windham, Jamaica, and Winhall. In the 2020 census, the town had a population of 1,919 people. Londonderry includes two smaller communities: the village of Londonderry and South Londonderry.

History of Londonderry
Londonderry was first officially recognized as a town in 1770. At that time, it was known as Kent and also included the area that is now the town of Windham. The town was officially re-chartered by the new Vermont Legislature on April 20, 1780. In this new charter, the town was given the name Londonderry. It was named after Londonderry in New Hampshire, which in turn got its name from Londonderry in Ireland.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town of Londonderry covers a total area of about 35.9 square miles (92.9 square kilometers). Most of this area, about 35.7 square miles (92.4 square kilometers), is land. A smaller part, about 0.2 square miles (0.5 square kilometers), is water. The West River flows through the town, adding to its natural beauty.
