Marina Satti (Greek: Μαρίνα Σάττι; born December 26, 1986) is a Greek singer, songwriter, and music producer. She also acts! Her music is special because it mixes traditional Greek, Arab, and Balkan sounds with modern city music. She adds cool rhythms and unique production to her songs.

Early Life and Music Journey
Marina Satti was born in Athens, Greece, and grew up on the island of Crete. Her father was a doctor from Sudan, and her mother was a chemical engineer from Crete. Marina visited Sudan during her summer breaks when she was a child. She was a very good student in school.
Marina started playing the piano when she was just 5 years old. She also loved singing in different choirs. She studied music seriously, earning high honors in singing and classical music. She also learned about jazz music. Later, she studied at the famous Berklee College of Music in the U.S.A. on a scholarship. There, she learned how to compose jazz music and produce songs. Marina also studied acting in Athens. In 2024, she began studying Cultural Management at a university.
Career Highlights
Marina Satti has performed all over the world. She sang with the European Jazz Orchestra and at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. In 2011, she even performed with the famous singer Bobby McFerrin.
From 2006 to 2024, Marina acted, sang, and wrote music for 15 plays in Greece. She also writes music for short films and commercials. You might have heard her voice in cartoons! She was the voice of Moana in both Moana movies and Ariel in The Little Mermaid for Greece. She also teaches music and singing at schools and universities.
In 2016, Marina released her song "Koupes" ("Cups"). It became super popular, getting over 28 million views on YouTube. The next year, her song "Mantissa" ("Seeress") was a huge hit across Europe. It was even called the "song of the summer" by Global Citizen and got over 58 million views on YouTube!
Marina also created a female a cappella group called Fonés ("Voices"). They sing traditional polyphonic songs. Later, she formed a choir called Chóres, which means "daughters" and "choruses." This choir has 200 women aged 13 to 63 who perform traditional songs.
In 2018, Marina and Fonés presented a show called Yalla!. It featured world music and pop songs, plus traditional music from the Eastern Mediterranean. They toured with this show in France, England, Switzerland, and Finland. Marina has toured Europe, the U.S., and Australia, performing at big festivals. In May 2022, she released her first album, Yenna ("Birth"), which was very successful in Greece and abroad.
Eurovision Song Contest and Recent Works
On October 24, 2023, it was announced that Marina Satti would represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. Her song, "Zari", came out on March 7, 2024. She finished in 11th place, and her performance won the "Best Onstage Ensemble 2024" award from Eurovision fans!
"Zari" became a global hit, reaching the top 50 on YouTube's global trends and number 18 on Spotify's global top 50. It was the first Greek song to do this! It also hit number 1 on Spotify, iTunes, and YouTube trends in many countries like Greece, Norway, and the UK. The song even received a diamond certification in Greece.
After Eurovision, Marina released an EP (a mini-album) called P.O.P.. It has 7 songs, including "Zari" and a new song called "Lalalala." It also features a ten-minute track called "Mixtape" with other artists. P.O.P. was a huge success in Greece, with all its songs earning diamond, platinum, or gold certifications. Marina then went on a 6-month worldwide tour. P.O.P. reached number 8 on Spotify's global top 10 albums.
Marina continues to release new music. She announced her next single, "ANATOLI," in November 2024, and it was released in December 2024. Her single "EPANO STO TRAPEZI" was released in January 2025.
