Sari Abboud (Arabic: ساري عبّود), known as Massari, is a singer and songwriter from Lebanon and Canada. He was born on December 10, 1980. He started his music journey in the early 2000s. Massari has released two R&B albums, Massari (2005) and Forever Massari (2009). He also released two pop music EPs, Hero (2015) and Tune In (2018). His manager is SAL&CO.

Early Life and Moving to Canada

Massari was born in Beirut, Lebanon. When he was 11 years old, his family moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Two years later, at age 13, he and his younger brothers moved to Ottawa, Ontario. He went to Hillcrest High School there. At 13, he performed in a school talent show. This was the first time he realized he wanted to be a singer.

Massari's Music Career

Massari began his music career in 2001-2002. He chose the stage name Massari. This name comes from his first name, Sari. It also relates to a Lebanese Arabic word that means "money." His first song, "Spitfire," came out in 2002. It was played on radio stations in Ottawa.

First Album and Early Success

After three years of hard work, Massari released his first album in 2005. It was called Massari. This album was a big success. It sold enough copies to be certified Gold in Canada. Massari also became popular in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Two of his early songs, "Be Easy" and "Real Love," were big hits in Canada. They reached the top 10 on the Canadian charts. These songs also did well on the German Singles Chart. Because of this success, Massari signed with an independent record label called CP Records. He became one of their most successful artists. In November 2007, Massari and CP Records decided to go their separate ways.

Forever Massari and New Beginnings

In 2009, Massari released two new songs: "Bad Girl" and "Body Body". These songs were from his next album, Forever Massari. The album was officially released on November 10, 2009, with Universal Records Canada. Many talented writers and producers worked on the album.

Returning to CP Records and Hero

In the summer of 2011, Massari signed with CP Records again. He had left the label five years before. On June 20, 2012, Massari released a free song called "Full Circle." It featured the rapper Belly. This song was the first single from his EP called Hero.

Massari's second song for the EP was "Brand New Day." It came out on July 1, 2012. He filmed the music video in Miami. In January 2013, "Brand New Day" also went Gold in Canada. It was popular in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland too. The third song from the Hero EP was "Shisha," which featured French Montana. It was released on May 21, 2013.

Tune In and Recent Music

On March 24, 2017, Massari released a new song called "So Long." It came with a music video featuring Pia Wurtzbach, a former Miss Universe. This was the first song from his second EP, Tune In. The album includes songs with other artists like Mohammed Assaf, Tory Lanez, Beenie Man, Shaggy, and Afrojack.

A week later, on March 31, 2017, he released "Done Da Da." Its music video quickly got over 7.2 million views. In 2024, Massari, Future, and Mohamed Ramadan released "ARABI." This song was the theme for the WWE Crown Jewel event.
