Maura Higgins, born on 25 November 1990, is a well-known Irish television personality, model, and presenter. She lives in Essex, United Kingdom. Maura became famous in 2019 after appearing on the fifth series of the reality TV show Love Island, where she was a finalist.
Since then, Maura has worked with many fashion and makeup brands. She also hosted the Irish version of the makeup competition show Glow Up. Early life and education
Maura Higgins was born on 25 November 1990 in Ballymahon, County Longford, Ireland. Her parents are Sharon and Seamus Higgins. She grew up with two sisters and one brother.
Maura went to Forgney N.S. for primary school. After that, she attended Ballymahon Vocational School. After finishing school, she studied hairdressing in Athlone. She then worked at a hair salon in her hometown.

Modelling and brand partnerships
Before she became famous on television, Maura worked as a grid girl. This meant she appeared at racing events. She also took part in many modelling campaigns. In 2014, she started working for Monster Energy, a well-known energy drink company. As a "Monster girl," she traveled to Abu Dhabi in 2017 for a Formula 1 race. In 2018, a video of her drifting a car for Monster Energy in Abu Dhabi went viral. This video aimed to encourage women there to drive.

In June 2019, Maura Higgins joined the Love Island villa for its fifth series. She entered the show on Day 10 and quickly became a fan favorite. She reached the final with Curtis Pritchard and finished in fourth place.
After Love Island, Maura started appearing regularly on This Morning. She presented a segment where she gave advice, like an agony aunt. She also hosted a two-part series called "Maura's Ireland." In this show, she traveled around Ireland to show off its beautiful places.

Personal life
Maura Higgins lives in Essex, England. She moved there in 2020 while training for Dancing on Ice. In October 2024, she shared that she had bought her dream home there.
Maura briefly dated Curtis Pritchard in late 2019 after they were on Love Island together. They broke up in early March 2020. Maura was also in a relationship with Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice. Their relationship ended in October 2021. Between 2023 and 2024, Maura was in a relationship with Bobby Holland Hanton, who is Chris Hemsworth's stunt double.
