The Mexican Football Federation (also known as Spanish: Federación Mexicana de Fútbol Asociación, A.C., or just Femexfut or FMF) is the main organization for association football in Mexico. It is like the boss of football in the country!
The FMF manages the Mexican national football team and the top professional league, Liga MX. It also looks after all amateur football teams. The FMF helps to promote, organize, and supervise football games across Mexico.
The Federation has three main places where it works: the Central Office, the High Performance Centre (where players train to be their best), and the Training Centre.
The FMF is a member of CONCACAF and FIFA. These are big international groups that set the rules for football around the world.
The Federation started on August 23, 1927. Its first president was Humberto Garza Ramos. The FMF joined FIFA in 1929 and CONCACAF in 1961.
