Early Life and Background
Micheal Ward was born in Spanish Town, Jamaica. His mother, Keisha, was 18 years old at the time. He has three sisters. When Micheal was two years old, his father passed away in a car accident.
At the age of four, Micheal moved to Hackney, East London, with his mother and sister. They received help from his aunt and uncle, who owned a Caribbean restaurant in Chadwell Heath. Later, his family moved to Romford. Micheal attended Chadwell Heath Academy. After leaving sixth form, he studied performing arts at Epping Forest College. As a teenager, he delivered food for his aunt's restaurant and later worked at a bookmakers shop.

Starting Out: Modeling and First Roles (2016–2018)
Micheal Ward began his career while he was still in college. He signed with a talent agency, which helped him get roles in music videos. He appeared in videos for artists like Lily Allen and Tom Walker. When he was seventeen, Micheal won the Face of JD Sports modeling competition.
He has since modeled for many different brands. In August 2020, he was chosen by Virgil Abloh to model for Louis Vuitton's menswear campaign. Micheal made his first movie appearance in Brotherhood in 2016. He also starred in the first season of the teen thriller The A List on BBC iPlayer in 2018. He later returned for the second season, which was shown on Netflix.

In 2020, Ward appeared in Steve McQueen's Small Axe: Lovers Rock. This role earned him a BAFTA nomination for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

Micheal Ward is a big fan of the football club Arsenal. He went to school with English professional footballer Rhian Brewster. In 2020, Micheal was named on Forbes' 30 under 30 list, which highlights young successful people. He became a British citizen in 2015.
