Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers is a special mini-series from the Power Rangers universe. It takes place right after the third season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. This series used scenes and costumes from a Japanese show called Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.
When the Alien Rangers fought, a different version of the Power Rangers theme song played. It said "Go Go Alien Rangers" instead of "Go Go Power Rangers." But the very first episode still used the original "Go Go Power Rangers" theme.

Story of the Alien Rangers
The story begins where Mighty Morphin Power Rangers season three ended. A bad guy named Master Vile used a special Orb of Doom. This orb made everyone on Earth, including the Power Rangers, turn into children. Luckily, the Rangers still remembered everything from when they were older because of their Ninja Power Coins.
But there was a problem: the young Rangers could not change into their Power Ranger suits to fight. So, Zordon asked the Alien Rangers from a planet called Aquitar for help. These Rangers are like humans but also part-fish. Earth's air is not good for them, but they still agreed to help.
Master Vile's plans were stopped, and he left. But Lord Zedd and Rita Repulsa stayed behind. They still wanted to take over Earth.
To make everyone grow up again, Billy Cranston built a machine called a Regenerator. It used the Ninja Power Coins for power. Only Billy turned back to normal before the bad guys, Goldar and Rito Revolto, stole the machine. Then, Rita and Zedd destroyed the Power Coins.
With the human Rangers' powers gone, only the Aquitian Rangers could protect Earth. But they could not stay on Earth forever. Zordon realized that only one thing could fix everything: the Zeo Crystal. The human Rangers had split this crystal into five pieces and hidden them across time to keep them safe from Master Vile.
The five young Rangers were sent to different times and places to find a piece of the crystal. Once they found their piece, they came back to the present. While they were gone, the Aquitian Rangers, Billy, Zordon, and Alpha 5 fought off Lord Zedd and Rita. The villains also planned to destroy the Command Center and steal the Zeo Crystal.
In the end, Zedd and Rita brought their enemy, Hydro Hog, to Earth to fight the Aquitian Rangers. After a tough battle, the Aquitian Rangers defeated him. Meanwhile, Aisha Campbell found the last crystal piece in Africa. But she decided to stay there to help animals. Instead, a new friend named Tanya Sloan came back with the crystal.
Once the Zeo Crystal was put back together by Billy's machine, Earth went back to normal. The teenage Rangers thanked the Aquitian Rangers, who returned to Aquitar. But then, Goldar and Rito Revolto stole the Zeo Crystal! Their bomb also went off, destroying the Command Center. Luckily, the Rangers were teleported to safety just in time.
What Happened Next
This mini-series prepared the way for the next show, Power Rangers Zeo. The first two episodes of Zeo showed what happened after the Command Center was destroyed. They also introduced the Rangers' new powers and new enemies, the Machine Empire.
The Aquitian Rangers appeared or were mentioned in later seasons too. Cestro came back in one episode to ask Billy for help. Later, the Aquitian and Zeo Rangers teamed up in a special two-part episode. This was the first time two full Ranger teams fought together! All five Aquitian Rangers also returned in the final episode of Power Rangers Super Megaforce to fight alongside many other Ranger teams.
