Monsters vs. Aliens is a fun computer-animated TV show from America. It's based on the 2009 DreamWorks Animation movie with the same name.
The show first aired on Nickelodeon on March 23, 2013. This was right after the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. It then started its regular schedule on April 6, 2013.
In total, 26 episodes were made, which included 50 shorter parts. The very last episode was shown on February 8, 2014. The series was later cancelled and did not get a second season. This was because it had lower viewer numbers. The network also wanted to focus on shows that felt more like classic Nickelodeon.

How the Show Was Made
In 2009, Jeffrey Katzenberg announced that Nickelodeon wanted to make a test episode for a Monsters vs. Aliens cartoon. Later, in 2012, Nickelodeon officially approved the series for 26 episodes.
New voice actors were chosen for the main characters. These included Chris O'Dowd as Dr. Cockroach and Riki Lindhome as Susan. Diedrich Bader voiced Link, and Eric Edelstein was B.O.B. Part of the show was made by Oktobor Animation, a CG animation studio in New Zealand. They also worked on other DreamWorks shows like The Penguins of Madagascar.
Why the Show Ended
In November 2013, one of the show's main producers, Bob Schooley, shared news on Twitter. He said that Monsters vs. Aliens would not get a second season. This was because the show had low viewer numbers. Nickelodeon also wanted to focus on shows that felt more like their older, popular series.
