The mountain looks like a low pyramid with a flat top, which is called a summit. This pyramid shape has three sides. Each side has a long, narrow ridge pointing outwards. These ridges point towards the west, northeast, and south.

There is a road that goes all the way up to the summit along the northeastern ridge. Near Monte Cimone, you can find the Parco regionale dell'Alto Appennino Modenese. This park is also known as Parco regionale del Frignano.

Chapel and Statue

In 1908, a small chapel was built on the mountain. It is dedicated to Madonna delle nevi, which means "Our Lady of the Snow". Right on the very top of the summit, there is a statue of the Madonna. This statue faces south, watching over the land.
