Mount Baldy is a mountain located in the western U.S.. It stands tall in Washoe County, Nevada, within the beautiful Mount Rose Wilderness. This mountain is a part of the famous Sierra Nevada mountain range.
The top of Mount Baldy reaches an elevation of 9,272 feet (about 2,826 meters) above sea level. It's not far from some popular spots near Lake Tahoe. For example, it's about 3.1 miles (5 km) northwest of Kings Beach, California and 2.4 miles (3.9 km) northwest of Incline Village, Nevada. Both of these towns are right on the northern shore of Lake Tahoe, a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Mount Baldy is found in the state of Nevada. It's specifically in Washoe County. The mountain is also very close to the border with California. In fact, it's only about 0.3 miles (0.5 km) from the Nevada-California state line. This makes it an important landmark in both states.
