Mount Marshall is a small country area in Queensland, Australia. It's part of the Southern Downs Region. In 2021, about 229 people lived there.

Exploring Mount Marshall's Land
Mount Marshall is a rural area. A main road called the New England Highway runs through it. It enters from the south and leaves towards the north.
Most of the land here is used for farming. Farmers grow crops, and some areas are used for grazing animals. There are also some homes spread out in the middle of the area.
A Look at Mount Marshall's History
Mount Marshall likely got its name from a nearby mountain. This mountain, also called Mount Marshall, is 601 metres (about 1,972 feet) tall. It is located to the south-east in the area of Glengallan.
Schools in the Past
A school called Glengallan Station School opened around 1886. It was for the children of people working at Glengallan Homestead. In 1891, it became Glengallan Provisional School. Then, on January 1, 1909, it changed its name to Glengallon State School. This school closed in 1921.
Later, in late 1922 or early 1923, it joined with Wilsonville State School. Together, they became Mount Marshall State School. This school was located on the corner of Hendon Mount Marshall Road and the New England Highway. Mount Marshall State School closed its doors in 1965.
The Community Hall
In October 1937, the Mount Marshall Public Hall was officially opened. This hall wasn't built new in Mount Marshall. It was actually the old Hendon Hall that was moved to its new spot in Mount Marshall.

The number of people living in Mount Marshall has changed a little over the years.

Learning and Education
Mount Marshall does not have its own schools. Students usually travel to nearby towns for their education.
For primary school, the closest government school is Allora State School. It is located in Allora, to the north-west. Allora State School also offers secondary education up to Year 10.
For older students needing education up to Year 11, there are other options. These include Clifton State High School in Clifton (to the north-west) and Warwick State High School in Warwick (to the south).
