Natalia Noemi Cappuccini was born on August 15, 1986, in Bradford, England. Her father is from Afro-Jamaican heritage, and her mother is from Uruguay. She went to Bradford Girls' Grammar School. Her family moved around a lot when she was young. She spent time in England, Jamaica, and Spain.
When she was 14, she left home. She decided to focus on music instead of acting. She has said her teenage years were difficult. She faced challenges and tried to find her way.

Health Update
On April 18, 2025, Teddy shared on social media that she had brain surgery. This was to treat trigeminal neuralgia. This condition causes severe pain in the face.
