Nicholas Andre Pinnock, born on September 2, 1973, is a talented actor from Britain. He is famous for playing the main character, Aaron Wallace, in the TV show For Life. He also played Truman Dawes in the crime drama Long Bright River.

Nicholas Pinnock's Early Life and Training
Nicholas Andre Pinnock was born in Balham, London, England. His family comes from Jamaica. When he was very young, he lived in Saudi Arabia.
When he returned to England at age 12, he joined the Corona Stage Academy in Hammersmith, London. In his very first week there, he started working professionally! He got jobs as a model and child actor in commercials, music videos, movies, and TV shows.
Later, Nicholas continued his training at the London Studio Centre. He took a three-year course in musical theatre. After his first year, he realized that acting was what he loved most. So, for the rest of his time there, he focused on drama and modern dance.
After finishing his studies, Pinnock joined a dance company called the Featherstonehaughs, led by Lea Anderson. He danced with them for several years before deciding to become a full-time actor.
Nicholas Pinnock's Acting Career
Nicholas Pinnock started his acting journey as a child. In 1986, he starred in a fantasy TV show called Mr Magus is Waiting for You. This show was about four kids who get stuck in a magical world with a mysterious magician. The next year, he became one of The Pink Windmill Kids on Emu's World on CITV.
As he grew older, in his 20s, he often performed in pantomime shows. He also appeared as a guest star in many popular TV shows. These included Grange Hill, EastEnders, The Bill, Dalziel and Pascoe, Footballers' Wives, and Casualty. He also acted in TV movies like Kingdom of The Blind with Clive Owen and Diamonds with James Purefoy.
Nicholas also performed in theatre plays. He was in As You Like It at Stafford Castle and Born Bad at Hampstead Theatre, directed by Kathy Burke. He also appeared in San Diego at the Edinburgh Festival. In 2009, he was in Topdog/Underdog at Glasgow's Citizens Theatre.
Big Screen and TV Roles
In 2011, Nicholas Pinnock appeared in his first big Hollywood movie, Captain America: The First Avenger. He played a SHIELD Tech in this superhero film. That same year, he played Leon in a four-part TV drama called Top Boy, which was shown on Channel 4. After the 2011 England riots in London, Pinnock was in a BBC show called The Riots: In Their Own Words, The Rioters. The next year, he played Evan in the ITV drama The Ice Cream Girls, which aired in April 2013.
In 2013, Nicholas Pinnock played a young Nelson Mandela in the ITV show Mandela: The Prison Years. This show was broadcast on December 15, 2013, the day Mandela was buried.
In 2015, Pinnock took on the role of Frank Sutter in Fortitude on Sky Atlantic. That same year, two more of his films were released: Monsters: Dark Continent, where he played Forrest, and The Keeping Room, where he played Bill.
In November 2015, he played Jay "The Sport" Jackson in The Royale at the Bush Theatre in London.
From 2016 to 2018, Pinnock played Jason Backland in the ITV crime drama Marcella alongside Anna Friel. He then appeared as Ian Shaw in Counterpart, a science fiction thriller that first aired in December 2017.
In September 2019, Pinnock was in the first season of Criminal: UK on Netflix.
Nicholas Pinnock was chosen to play the main character, Aaron Wallace, in For Life. This American legal drama was created by Hank Steinberg and produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. The show was inspired by the true story of Isaac Wright, Jr, who was wrongly put in prison for life but managed to prove his innocence and become a defense lawyer. The series started on ABC in February 2020 and ran for two seasons.
In 2022, he played Jesus in Jeymes Samuel's movie The Book of Clarence.
Pinnock played John Ellis in Django, a TV series for Sky and Canal+ that came out in 2023. He acted alongside Noomi Rapace, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Lisa Vicari.
Nicholas Pinnock was also cast in This Town, a six-part British TV series for BBC One that premiered in 2024.
