Paudex is a small town, also called a municipality, in Switzerland. It's located in the Vaud area, which is like a state or canton. Paudex is part of the Lavaux-Oron District and is very close to the bigger city of Lausanne.

A Look Back in Time
Paudex has a long history! The first time anyone wrote about it was in the year 1220. Back then, it was called Paudais.

Paudex is a small place, covering about 0.5 square kilometers (0.19 square miles). Imagine an area half the size of a square kilometer!
How the Land is Used
A small part of the land, about 8.3%, is used for farming. About 10.4% of the area is covered by forests. Most of Paudex, about 83.3%, has buildings and roads. A tiny bit, 2.1%, is rivers or lakes.
Most of the built-up area, 64.6%, has houses and other buildings. Roads and transportation take up 14.6%. Parks and green spaces make up 4.2%.
Changes in Districts
Paudex used to be part of the Lausanne District. But on August 31, 2006, that district changed. Paudex then became part of the new Lavaux-Oron District.
Location by the Lake
This town is right next to Lake Geneva. It sits between the towns of Pully and Lutry.
