Paul Zerdin is a talented British comedian and ventriloquist. He was born in London on August 21, 1972. Paul became famous around the world when he won the 10th season of America's Got Talent. He is known for making his puppets seem like they are really talking.

Early Life and First Steps
When Paul Zerdin was 10 years old, a family friend built him a special puppet theatre. He loved putting on shows with it. Later, after finishing school, Paul worked in a magic shop. This helped him learn many magic tricks. At the same time, he also started performing as an entertainer for children.
Paul's Career Journey
Paul Zerdin first appeared on TV as a magician on a BBC show called Tricky Business. When he was 20, he got a two-year job. He presented a children's TV show called Rise and Shine for GMTV. This show was made by Disney.
In 1996, Paul won a big talent show called The Big Big Talent Show. He won by a lot of votes. After this, he performed at a special event for The Prince's Trust in 1997.
During the Christmas season of 2016-2017, Paul played the character Buttons in the pantomime Cinderella. This show was at the London Palladium. People really enjoyed his performance. A magazine called Radio Times said he was "inspired casting." They also said his quick jokes and amazing puppet skills made the show very funny.
Winning America's Got Talent
In 2015, Paul Zerdin tried out for the tenth season of America's Got Talent. He did very well and made it to the live shows. On September 16, 2015, he won the competition!
Winning America's Got Talent came with a big prize. Paul won $1 million and got his own show in Las Vegas. His show was called Mouthing Off. It ran for four months in 2016 at Planet Hollywood.
Paul returned to the Got Talent stage in 2019. He took part in America's Got Talent: The Champions and Britain's Got Talent: The Champions. However, he did not reach the final in either of these spin-off shows.
