About the Show
Main Characters
The cartoon stars two mice:
- Pixie: He wears a bow tie and is voiced by Don Messick.
- Dixie: He wears a vest and is voiced by Daws Butler.
Their main enemy is Mr. Jinks, a cat who is also voiced by Daws Butler. Mr. Jinks often says his famous line, "I hates those meeces to pieces!"
What Happens in the Story
The show is mostly about Mr. Jinks trying to catch Pixie and Dixie. But the mice are always too smart for him! They often trick Mr. Jinks, and he ends up in funny situations.
This cartoon is similar to Tom and Jerry, which was also created by Hanna and Barbera. However, Pixie and Dixie and Mr. Jinks uses more jokes and talking. This is because TV shows had smaller budgets back then. So, they relied more on funny conversations than on big, action-packed chases.
