Plessur is a district in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. Think of a canton like a state or a large region. This district is named after the Plessur River, which flows through it. How Plessur is Organized
The Plessur district is divided into three smaller areas called Kreise, which are like sub-districts. These are Chur, Churwalden, and Schanfigg. Together, these three sub-districts contain a total of 16 different towns and villages, which are called municipalities.
Chur Sub-district
The Chur sub-district includes the city of Chur. It's the largest municipality in the Plessur district.
Churwalden Sub-district
The Churwalden sub-district is home to several municipalities, including Churwalden, Malix, Parpan, Praden, and Tschiertschen.
Schanfigg Sub-district
The Schanfigg sub-district has many municipalities, such as Arosa, Calfreisen, Castiel, Langwies, Lüen, Maladers, Molinis, Pagig, Peist, and St. Peter.
