Reinach (which is Rynach in Swiss German) is a town in Switzerland. It's located in the Basel-Country area, specifically in the Arlesheim district.

History of Reinach
Reinach was first mentioned a long time ago, between 1168 and 1176. Back then, it was called Rinacho.
Geography and Nature
Reinach covers an area of about 7 square kilometers (about 2.7 square miles). A good part of this land, about 26%, is used for farming. Another 16.6% is covered by forests, which means there are lots of trees! Most of the town, about 55%, is built up with buildings and roads. A small part, less than 1%, includes rivers or lakes. The town is located in the Arlesheim district. It started as a small village next to a stream. Today, Reinach is part of the larger city area of Basel. It's a key spot where several important routes meet.
Reinach's Coat of Arms
A coat of arms is like a special symbol or emblem for a town or family. Reinach's coat of arms has two main parts. One side shows a red crozier (a hooked staff like a bishop's staff) on a silver background. The other side has three gold circles on a blue background. The town also has several local primary schools: Fiechten, Surbaum, Aumatt, Weiermatt, and Reinacherhof. The main secondary school is the Bachmatten campus, which has two buildings.
