The Scattered Islands in the Indian Ocean (French: Îles Éparses or Îles Éparses de l'océan Indien) is the name for five uninhabited islands in the Indian Ocean. They are off the African coast, some are close to Madagascar. There is a weather station on some of these islands. They are administered by France, Madagascar claims some of them.
