Tall Towers of Shoreview
- The KMSP TV Tower is very tall, standing 1,466 feet (447 meters) high. It is used by TV stations KMSP/WFTC (Channels 9 / 29) and Twin Cities Public Television (KTCA/KTCI 2 / 17). Ten FM radio stations also use this tower.
- The Telefarm Towers Shoreview are two other tall towers nearby. They are about 1,436 feet (438 meters) and 1,438 feet (438 meters) high. Many TV stations like WCCO (4), KSTP/KSTC (5 / 45), KARE (11), WUCW (23), and KPXM (41) broadcast from here. Several FM stations also use these towers.
In 1971, a TV tower in Shoreview collapsed during construction. This sad event made national news. Seven workers lost their lives.
