Solea Pfeiffer is a talented American actress and singer. She was born in Zimbabwe. Solea is famous for playing Eliza Hamilton in the first national tour of the musical Hamilton. She got this role after performing as Maria in West Side Story at the Hollywood Bowl. In 2019, she also starred in Evita at the New York City Center. More recently, she has been on Broadway in Hadestown as Eurydice and Moulin Rouge! as Satine.

Early Life and Education
Solea Pfeiffer was born in Zimbabwe. She grew up in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. Her mother is African-American, and her father is white. Solea's parents are anthropologists, which means they study human societies and cultures.
Solea graduated from the University of Michigan with a special degree in Fine Arts. She also studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
Starting Her Music Journey
Solea began her interest in music when she was just four years old. She started taking violin lessons. As she got older, she attended theater camps. She also performed in plays at her middle and high schools.
Big Roles in Musicals
In 2016, when Solea was 21, she got a big chance. The famous conductor Gustavo Dudamel chose her to play Maria in West Side Story. This show was performed at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. The artistic team of the Los Angeles Philharmonic showed him videos of her singing, and he was very impressed.
A year later, in 2017, Solea joined the national tour of Hamilton. She played Eliza Hamilton, one of the main characters. Her performance received many good reviews.
In 2019, Solea played Eva Perón in Evita at the New York City Center. She shared the role with another actress, playing Eva from age 20 to 33. Critics praised her performance in this role too.
In 2022, Solea performed on Broadway in Almost Famous. She played the character Penny Lane. The next year, in 2023, she joined the Broadway cast of Hadestown. She took over the role of Eurydice at the Walter Kerr Theatre. During her time in Hadestown, she performed alongside actors like Reeve Carney and Jordan Fisher.
In the summer of 2024, Solea starred as Myrtle Wilson in Gatsby: An American Myth. This musical was at the American Repertory Theatre. Later in 2024, she joined the Broadway cast of Moulin Rouge! as Satine. She performed at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre with John Cardoza and Jordan Fisher.
