Solea Pfeiffer is an American actress and singer. She was born in Zimbabwe. Solea is famous for playing Eliza Hamilton in the first national tour of Hamilton. Before that, she played Maria in West Side Story at the Hollywood Bowl. In 2019, she also starred as Eva Perón in Evita at the New York City Center. More recently, she has performed on Broadway in Hadestown as Eurydice and in Moulin Rouge! as Satine.

Solea's Early Life and Career
Solea Pfeiffer was born in Zimbabwe. She grew up in Seattle, Washington, in the United States. Her mother is African-American, and her father is white. Solea's parents are anthropologists, which means they study human societies and cultures.
Solea started playing the violin when she was four years old. She loved music from a young age. As she grew up, she attended theater camps. She also performed in plays at her middle and high schools. She studied at the University of Michigan and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
Her Big Break in Musicals
In 2016, when Solea was 21, she got a huge opportunity. The famous conductor Gustavo Dudamel chose her to play Maria in West Side Story. This was a big show at the Hollywood Bowl. The team at the Los Angeles Philharmonic saw her singing videos on YouTube and showed them to him.
A year later, in 2017, Solea joined the national tour of Hamilton. She played Eliza Hamilton, one of the main characters. Her performance received many good reviews.
In 2019, Solea played Eva Perón in Evita at the New York City Center. She shared the role with another actress, Maia Reficco. Solea played Eva from when the character was 20 to 33 years old. Critics praised her performance in this role as well.
