Sonic the Hedgehog CD, often called Sonic CD, is a super fun platform game made by Sega. It's part of the popular Sonic the Hedgehog series. This game first came out in 1993 for the Sega CD game console.
In the story, Sonic CD happens after the very first Sonic the Hedgehog game. It takes place before Sonic the Hedgehog 2. A cool feature of the game is its time travel system. Sonic can zoom into the past or the future within each level!
Every level, called a "zone," has four different versions. These are the "past," the "present," the "good future," and the "bad future." Each version looks different, has unique music, and even different enemies and challenges.
Sonic CD also introduced two important characters to the Sonic the Hedgehog world. One is Amy Rose, a pink female hedgehog who uses a hammer as her weapon. The other is Metal Sonic, an evil robot version of Sonic himself!
