Stewartstown is a town in Coös County, New Hampshire, United States. It is a part of the Berlin area. In 2020, about 813 people lived there. The town includes the village of West Stewartstown.

History of Stewartstown
Stewartstown became an official town in 1795. It was first called "Stuart." This name honored Sir John Stuart, 3rd Earl of Bute. After the Revolutionary War, its name was changed to "Stewartstown." This new name used the original Scottish way of spelling it.
Geography of the Town
Stewartstown covers about 121.4 square kilometers (46.9 square miles). Most of this area is land. Only a small part, about 1.6 square kilometers (0.6 square miles), is water.
The highest point in town is Sugar Hill. It is about 910 meters (2,985 feet) above sea level. The 45th parallel north line also runs through the town. This line is halfway between the Equator and the North Pole.
Villages and Nearby Towns
The main village in Stewartstown is West Stewartstown. It is located along U.S. Route 3 next to the Connecticut River. Across the river is the town of Canaan, Vermont.
Another village, Stewartstown village, is about one mile northeast of West Stewartstown. It is also on Route 3. To the east, Stewartstown Hollow village is closer to the center of the town. It is located along New Hampshire Route 145.
