The Sèvre Nantaise is a river in western France. It flows into the Loire river from its left side.
The river starts in the Deux-Sèvres area. This area is named "Two Sèvres" because of this river and the Sèvre Niortaise river. The Sèvre Nantaise then flows into the city of Nantes. This is why "Nantaise" is part of its name.

The Sèvre Nantaise begins in a hilly area called the Gâtines plateau. Its source is in the commune (a small French town or district) of Neuvy-Bouin. This is near the commune of Secondigny in the Deux-Sèvres area. The river starts at a height of about 210 m (689 ft) above sea level.
From there, it flows towards the northwest. It passes through several areas of France:
