Tara Donna Reid (born November 8, 1975) is an American actress and model. She is well-known for her role as Vicky Lathum in the American Pie movies. These films were released between 1999 and 2012.
Reid has also starred in other movies like Urban Legend (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (2001). She also appeared in Van Wilder (2002) and Alone in the Dark (2005). She had smaller roles in films such as The Big Lebowski (1998) and Cruel Intentions (1999).
On television, Reid played Ashley on the soap opera Days of Our Lives in 1995. She also played Danni Sullivan on the NBC show Scrubs from 2003 to 2005. Later, she became famous for her role as April Wexler in the Sharknado TV movie series (2013–2018). She also hosted her own reality show called Taradise on E! from 2005 to 2006.

Early Life
Tara Donna Reid was born and grew up in Wyckoff, New Jersey. Her parents, Donna and Thomas Reid, were both teachers. They also owned a day-care center. Her father also worked on Wall Street.
Tara has a mixed background, mostly Irish. She also has some Scottish, Italian, French, Hungarian, and English family history. She went to Professional Children's School in Manhattan. Many other famous actors also went to this school. These include Christina Ricci, Jerry O'Connell, and Macaulay Culkin. Tara has two younger twin siblings, Colleen and Patrick, and another brother, Tom.
Acting Career
Tara Reid started acting when she was six years old. She was a regular on the game show Child's Play. She also appeared in more than 100 commercials. These commercials were for companies like Jell-O, McDonald's, and Crayola. As a teenager, she was on the TV show Saved by the Bell: The New Class.
In 1997, Reid moved to Hollywood. She then started acting in movies. Her first big movie role was in The Big Lebowski in 1998. This movie later became a cult classic, meaning it became very popular over time.
Later in 1998, she had a bigger role in Urban Legend. In 1999, she appeared in Cruel Intentions. Tara became very famous when she played Vickie in American Pie in 1999. This movie earned a lot of money. It was also her first movie to reach number one at the box office.
She played Vickie again in American Pie 2 in 2001. This movie was even more successful. She did not appear in American Wedding (2003). However, she returned as Vickie in American Reunion in 2012.
After American Pie 2, Reid starred in other films. These included Josie and the Pussycats and Van Wilder. She also appeared in Dr. T & the Women with Richard Gere. She returned to TV on the NBC show Scrubs. She was in 11 episodes of the third season.
In 2005, she starred in Alone in the Dark. She also hosted a show on E! called Taradise. This show was about fancy vacations and popular places. It started in August 2005 but was canceled in September.
From 2007 to 2008, she acted in several movies released directly to video. These included If I Had Known I Was a Genius and Clean Break. She also played the main character in the TV horror movie Vipers. In 2010, she got a role in the thriller film The Fields.
In August 2011, Reid joined the British reality show Celebrity Big Brother 8. She was the third celebrity to leave the house. In September 2011, she appeared in Jedward's music video for "Wow Oh Wow". She was also in their "Ferocious" music video in 2014.
In 2013, she starred in the popular Syfy movie Sharknado. This movie led to five more sequels. During the mid-2010s, Reid also appeared in The Hungover Games and Charlie's Farm. She was also in the Bollywood film Tie the Knot.
In 2019, Reid appeared as herself in an episode of The Boys. She was at a comic convention with Billy Zane.
Other Projects
Tara Reid has been on the cover of many magazines. These include CosmoGirl, Rolling Stone, and Seventeen. She has also been in TV commercials for Jell-O, McDonald's, and Crayola.
In 2007, Reid had parts in three restaurants. She also opened Ketchup, a fast-food restaurant in Los Angeles.
Reid and Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier created a clothing line called Mantra. It was sold in high-end stores in 2009. In 2014, she launched a new swimwear line. She also released a perfume called Shark by Tara. This perfume was inspired by the Sharknado movies.
