Tatiana Guimarães Weston-Webb, born on May 9, 1996, is a talented professional surfer. She is from Brazil but lives in Kauai, Hawaii. Tatiana also has American and English roots.
In 2015, she was the only new surfer to join the World Championship Tour. She wears jersey number 9. Tatiana competed for Brazil in the 2020 and 2024 Summer Olympics. She won a silver medal in the 2024 Olympics!

Tatiana's Family and Early Life
Tatiana's father, Douglas Weston-Webb, was born in England. His family was involved in the textile business. He moved to Florida when he was young. Douglas learned to surf at age eight. Later, he moved to Kauai in his 20s to surf more.
Tatiana's mother, Tanira Weston-Webb, was a professional bodyboarder from Brazil. Tanira's sister, Andrea Guimarães, was also a bodyboarder.
Douglas and Tanira met in Hawaii. They moved to Brazil, where Tatiana was born in Porto Alegre in 1996. Because her father was born in the United Kingdom, Tatiana also became a British citizen at birth.
When Tatiana was just two months old, her family moved to Hawaii. At age 8, she saw her older brother Troy surfing. She decided to try it too. Surfing became a fun competition between them. Tatiana got her first surfboard soon after.
In 2011, Tatiana played a young Bethany Hamilton in the movie Soul Surfer.
In 2020, she married Jessé Mendes dos Santos. He is also a professional surfer from Brazil. They had a small wedding on a beach in Kauai.
Tatiana's Surfing Career
In 2015, Tatiana earned a spot on the World Championship Tour. This is a big deal in professional surfing.
On April 29, 2018, she decided to represent Brazil in competitions. This was her dream, especially since surfing became an Olympic sport. She wanted to compete for her home country in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
In the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Tatiana made it to the round of 16. In the 2024 Summer Olympics, she reached the final! She won a silver medal, just barely losing to world champion Caroline Marks.
