Town Creek is a small town in Lawrence County, Alabama, United States. It is part of the larger Decatur Metropolitan Area. The town officially started in March 1875.
According to the 2010 census, about 1,100 people lived in Town Creek. By the 2020 census, the population was 1,052. Since 1920, Town Creek has been the second-largest town in Lawrence County, right after Moulton.

Town Creek's History
Town Creek was first settled in the early 1800s. It was originally called "Jonesboro." This name came from an early settler named William Jones.
The town officially became a town in 1875. One important historical place near Town Creek is the Goode-Hall House. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, which means it's a special building recognized for its history.

Town Creek is located in northern Alabama. You can find it at coordinates 34.671518 degrees North and -87.408311 degrees West.
The town is mostly built around where two main roads meet: U.S. Route 72 and State Route 101. It is located southeast of Muscle Shoals and northwest of Decatur. The town of Courtland is just to the east.
State Route 101 connects Town Creek to Wheeler Dam. This dam is a big structure that crosses the Tennessee River a few miles north of the town. The U.S. Census Bureau says that Town Creek covers a total area of about 2.7 square miles (6.95 square kilometers), and all of it is land.
