Trélex is a small village located in Switzerland. It is part of the Nyon area in the Vaud region.

History of Trélex
Trélex is quite old! It was first mentioned in official records way back in 1145. At that time, its name was written as Trailai.
Geography of Trélex
Trélex covers an area of about 5.8 square kilometers (2.2 square miles). A big part of this land, about 51.9%, is used for farming. Another large section, 34.3%, is covered by forests.
About 14.9% of the village area has buildings or roads. A very small part, 0.2%, is made up of rivers or lakes. Most of the built-up areas are homes and other buildings.
Trélex is located at the bottom of the Jura Mountains. You can find it on the road that connects Nyon and Saint-Cergue. Until 2006, Trélex was part of the old Nyon District. Now, it is part of the new Nyon district.
Trélex Coat of Arms
