William Osborne "Tuck" Tucker III (born August 20, 1961 – died December 22, 2020) was a talented American artist. He was a writer, storyboard artist, animator, songwriter, and director. Tuck Tucker is best known for his work on popular cartoon shows like Hey Arnold! and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Early Life and Education
Tuck Tucker was born in Lynchburg, Virginia. He went to Virginia Episcopal School and later to Virginia Commonwealth University. When he was young, he loved watching cartoons with his dad. He said these times were very special to him.
In 1990, he married Connie Dyste. They had one daughter named Gina Tucker. The family lived in La Cañada Flintridge, California. Sadly, Connie Tucker passed away in 2015. After that, Tuck Tucker moved back to Virginia. He started teaching art to students at Longwood University.
Career in Animation
While he was studying animation, his teacher helped him get a job at The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles. His first animation job was working on the movie The Little Mermaid.
After Disney, he worked on other famous shows. He joined The Simpsons at Fox Broadcasting Company. Then, he moved to Nickelodeon. He started as a storyboard artist for shows like Rugrats and Aaahh!!! Real Monsters. A storyboard artist draws pictures that show what each scene in a cartoon will look like.
Later, he became a director for Hey Arnold!. He then chose to work on SpongeBob SquarePants. For SpongeBob, he first worked as a storyboard artist for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. Then he became a writer and storyboard director for the TV show. Eventually, he became a supervising storyboard director.
In 2011, Tuck Tucker won an Annie Award. This award was for Best Music in a Television Production. He shared the award with Jeremy Wakefield, Sage Guyton, and Nick Carr for their work on SpongeBob. After SpongeBob, he directed episodes of The Fairly OddParents during its ninth season. In 2015, he began teaching graphic and animation design at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.
Later Life and Passing
Tuck Tucker passed away in Lynchburg, Virginia, on December 22, 2020. He was 59 years old. The reason for his passing was not shared publicly.
