U.S. Route 77 (often called US 77) is a very long road that runs from south to north in the central United States. It stretches for about 1305 miles (that's over 2100 kilometers!).

This important highway starts in Brownsville, Texas, right at the border with Mexico. It ends far to the north in Sioux City, Iowa, where it meets Interstate 29. US 77 helps connect many cities and towns across five different states.

Even though it's a major highway, US 77 doesn't have signs in and around Dallas, Texas. It also has parts that are like big, fast freeways, especially in Oklahoma City. One of these freeway parts is called the Broadway Extension. It helps people travel between the city of Oklahoma City and the nearby town of Edmond.
