The U.S. Army Medical Department Museum, also known as the AMEDD Museum, is located at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. This museum started a long time ago as part of an Army school in Pennsylvania. It moved to its current home in Texas in 1946. Today, it is part of the U.S. Army Medical Department Center and School.

The museum shows the history of the Army Medical Department. This includes how Army medicine has helped people from 1775 until now. You can learn about their work during both peace and war. The museum covers important historical events and new scientific discoveries. It also highlights the brave men and women who served.

You can watch videos that explain the history of the Army Medical Department. Two large rooms display medical tools, uniforms, medals, and special badges. The museum also has items about medical staff and even POWs from World War II.

The museum also keeps old items from the Naval Hospital Corps School Great Lakes. This school moved from Chicago to Fort Sam Houston in 2005. It is now part of the Medical Education and Training Campus (METC).
