Upper Kedron is a suburb located in the north-west part of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It is part of the City of Brisbane. In 2021, about 5,800 people called Upper Kedron home.

Exploring Upper Kedron
Upper Kedron is about 12 kilometers (7.5 miles) north-west of the center of Brisbane. It is a residential area found right next to the beautiful Brisbane Forest Park.
This suburb is where two small streams, Kedron Creek and Cedar Creek, begin. These streams later join to form Kedron Brook. Even though their names are similar, Upper Kedron and Kedron are actually quite far apart, about 15.3 kilometers (9.5 miles).
A Look Back in Time
Upper Kedron has a history that goes back many years.
- The Upper Kedron Hall first opened its doors on Cedar Creek Road in 1890. This hall has been a community gathering place for a long time.
- The Cedar Creek Cemetery started in 1898 on Cemetery Road.
In 2014, a company bought a large piece of land in Upper Kedron. This land was about 228 hectares (563 acres). They planned to build a new community with about 900 homes there.

This development will also include 91 hectares (225 acres) of open space for people to enjoy. The project is designed to fit in with the natural landscape, offering different types of homes.
