The Val-de-Travers District is one of six districts in the canton of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Its main town and capital is Val-de-Travers. As of 31 December 2020, about 11,898 people live here.
This area is well-known for its watchmaking industry. It is also famous as the historical home of a special herbal drink. This drink is now made in the region again.

How Did Val-de-Travers Form?
On January 1, 2009, several smaller towns joined together. These towns were Boveresse, Buttes, Couvet, Fleurier, Les Bayards, Môtiers, Noiraigue, Saint-Sulpice, and Travers. They all combined to create the larger municipality of Val-de-Travers.
