Vallamand used to be a town, or 'municipality', in Switzerland. It was located in the Vaud region, within the Broye-Vully area.
On July 1, 2011, Vallamand joined with several other towns like Bellerive and Mur. They all became part of a new, bigger town called Vully-les-Lacs.

History of Vallamand
Vallamand's name first appeared in old records way back in 1246. Back then, it was spelled Ualamant.
Geography and Land Use
In 2009, Vallamand covered an area of about 2.34 square kilometers (0.9 square miles).
Most of this land, about 57.3%, was used for farming. Forests covered 22.2% of the area. The remaining 19.7% was developed with buildings and roads. A very small part, 1.3%, was unproductive land.
The town was part of the Avenches District until 2006. After that, it became part of the newer Broye-Vully District.
Vallamand's Coat of Arms
The coat of arms for Vallamand has a special design. It shows a golden bunch of grapes with green leaves on a red background. Above the grapes, there is a black letter "V" on a silver stripe.

In 2009, Vallamand had a population of 393 people. About 12.7% of these people were from other countries. Over ten years, from 1999 to 2009, the population grew by 23.2%. Most of this growth was from people moving into the area.

In 2000, most people in Vallamand spoke French, about 57.8%. The second most common language was German, spoken by 38.3% of the people. A small number, 2.1%, spoke English.
