Breaking into the Top 100 (2025)

In early 2025, Victoria Mboko had an amazing winning streak. She won 22 matches in a row without losing a single set. This led her to win four ITF singles titles. These wins happened in Le Lamentin (Martinique), Petit-Bourg (Guadeloupe), Rome (USA), and Manchester (England). Her 20 straight main-draw match wins set a new record for Canadian women. This record has been kept by the ITF since 1994.

She won a fifth ITF title in March at the W75 tournament in Porto, Portugal. She beat Harriet Dart in the final. By early May 2025, her record for the season was 33 wins and only 3 losses. These great results helped her enter the WTA Top 200 for the first time. She reached a career-high ranking of No. 156 on March 31, 2025.

Mboko received a wildcard to play in the Miami Open. This was her first WTA 1000 main draw event. She won her first WTA Tour-level match there. She defeated Camila Osorio in the first round. She then lost in the second round to Paula Badosa in a close match.

She qualified for the Italian Open. She won her first-round match against wildcard player Arianna Zucchini. In the second round, she played against fourth seed Coco Gauff. Mboko won the first set, but Gauff came back to win the match.

Mboko made her Grand Slam main draw debut at the French Open. She won three qualifying matches in straight sets. She then earned her first main draw wins. She defeated Lulu Sun and Eva Lys to reach the third round. This was a big achievement for her first major tournament. As a result, Mboko became one of only three teenagers in the top 100.
